Theft

lOn May 1 at around 1:30 am, a group of armed miscreants numbering to over 10-12 looted Rs. 10,000 and gold ornaments from occupants of four vehicles, on Panbari-Hallidayganj Road (WGH).

lOn April 29 afternoon, unknown miscreants stole a car tape, pass book and cheque book belonging to one Gordon L Mawlong from his Maruti car (ML-05H-3066) which was parked at Lower Lachumiere.

lOn April 28 around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle belonging to one Shyam Nandan Gupta from Koinabhui (WGH).

Missing vehicle

On May 1 at around 4 am, one Bolero Pick-up vehicle (ML-10A-7978) belonging to one Shaining Lyngdoh was found missing from 20th Mile (RB).

Arrest

In connection with the murder of one Karbes Mawrie at Lailad Quarry (SWKH), Police arrested two persons, Monshar Nongsiej and Aiborsing L. Lyngkhoi.

Assault

lOn April 30 at around 8:40 pm, Ahmed Barbhuiya, driver of local taxi (ML-05E-6644) along with other taxi drivers, assaulted one Subhashish Deb (36) at Mawlai Phudmuri. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted to CH Shillong.

lOn April 30 at around 10:30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Kestar Nongdhar (38) at Mawshabuit (EKH). As a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.

Rape

On April 29 at about 7:30 pm, one Edward Lyngkhoi kidnapped a minor girl (13) from Bara Bazar, Shillong and allegedly raped her.
