Theft

A burglary took place at Meghalaya Glass House belonging to Dinesh Kumar Poddar at Lukier Road on Saturday morning. The total amount of brass materials stolen is estimated at Rs 1.5 lakh. However, at 5.30pm, the city patrol managed to intercept a local taxi (ML 06 E 8214) driven by one Rajesh Dorjee( 25) at polo and on seeing the police, Dorjee tried to flee but was caught and the vehicle seized and on checking, stolen goods were recovered.

Assault

One Jengjang Ch Marak lodged a complaint that on May 2 around 6 pm, Mamuni M Sangma and Jebi M Sangma went to his house at Chekwegittim, South Garo Hills and assaulted his wife Dorina S. Marak. They also threatened her with dire consequences.

Stabbing case

One Erassa Chianti M. Sangma lodged a complaint that on May 2 around 1:30 pm, Dorina S. Marak along with Sengchira S. Marak and Asin S. Marak went to the complainant’s PCO at Nangalbibra in South Garo Hills and wounded her with a knife. As a result, the victim sustained injuries.
