lBashida Massar has been awarded Ph.D in Zoology by Gauhati University for her thesis “Historical and Ultra Strucutural changes in some vital organs of common carp (Cyprinus Carpio) from Umiam Lake” under the joint supervision of Prof Karabi Dutta, Gauhati University and Dr Sudip Dey, SAIF, NEHU. She is the daughter of (L) Albinus Abiroy Khonglam and Alma Aruna Massar of Lapalang village and wife of Nicholas Shangpliang.

 lThe MCD University of Divinity, Melbourne, Australia has conferred Doctor of Philosophy to Marlene C Marak on her thesis titled “Telling stories; Applying narrative form of communication for inclusive worship” under the supervision of Dr Rev Gwen Ince. She is the youngest daughter of former DFO Lt Swanson W Momin and youngest sister of Tony Trabert C Marak, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Territorial).
