lA woman lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on May 3 around 8:30 pm, her husband, Herman Pakem raped her minor daughter (10) in her residence at Shangpung (WJH).

lA woman lodged a complaint on April 29 that on February 18 and March 28, one Dimber M Sangma molested her and on April 11, he raped her in his residence at Mondoltilla, Tura (WGH).

lOn April 24, one Forest Hajong (26) molested and attempted to rape a minor girl (7) in his residence at Lower Dobasipara (WGH). Accused also threatened her with dire consequences.

Complaint

One Ramesh Upadhaya lodged a complaint at Tura PS that his daughter, Puja Upadhaya (17) left his residence at Sepoy Colony, Tura (WGH) and also took away one laptop, gold ornaments valued around Rs. 60,000/- and his ATM card. On April 14, she informed him that she had married to one Nur Islam, Asst. Teacher of Police Public School, Tura. However, the complainant alleged that his daughter might have been kidnapped and forced into marriage.

Theft

lDr Maristella Nongrum lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on May 4, one Jerome Rangjem took Rs. 10 lakh from her for construction of an RCC building at Mawnianglah, Upper Shillong and fled away. The accused also stole two water storage tanks, twenty quintals of iron rods and twenty bags of cement.

lOn May 2 at around 11 pm, unknown miscreants stole one truck (ML-04A-7215) belonging to one Heibormi Malang from Lad-Rymbai (EJH).

lOne Binoy Bhusan Boro, Accountant of M/s Food Craft Institute, Tura lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on May 2, one employee of the Institute, Crowel D. Marak stole three cheques for Rs. 1,12,500.

Body recovered

lOn May 6 at about 8 am, one unidentified male body (30 yrs approx) was recovered from Nongpoh, NH-40 (RB). Cadaver was sent to CH, Nongpoh for post mortem examination.

lOn April 30 at around 5.30 pm, one unidentified male body was found hanging from a tree at Rochonpara Forest Reserve (WGH).

Arson

lOn May 5 around 10 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one Maruti Alto car (ML-05J-4193) belonging to one Francis Chettri at Nongmensong. As a result, the vehicle was partially damaged.

lOn May 4 at around 11:45 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one NRHM Ambulance (ML-01-6443) at New Kench’s Trace, Shillong. As a result, the Ambulance was partially damaged.

lOn May 4 at around 10 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to a haystack belonging to one Chole Lal Roy at Lapalang, Shillong. As a result, the haystack was completely gutted.

Accident

On May 3 around 2:30 pm, one trailer truck (NL-01D-6131) knocked down one Som Bisra (36) and his minor daughter, Muni Bisra (3) at Thangskai, NH-44 (EJH). As a result, Bisra died at the spot, while his daughter sustained injuries. The truck driver fled away after the incident. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.

Missing

On May 2, a minor girl, Pooja Das (14) was reported missing. In this connection, Dipti Das lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that one Mitai Das had kidnapped her daughter.

Assault

One Sumit Mohanta lodged a complaint at Garobadha IC that on April 30, one Tom Mohanta along with his three accomplices assaulted him and threw him in the river. As a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to CH, Tura.
