Thief apprehended

On May 26, one Rick Pyrbot was caught red-handed while he was stealing a car tape from one Maruti car (ML-05G-6517) belonging to one Allan Paul Nongkynrih, which was parked near the gate of Bishop’s House, Laitumkhrah.

Police arrested three persons, Md. Abdul Hakim, Md. Amir, Amar Deb Barman and Nabin Sunar in connection with Laban PS theft Case.

Arson

On May 26 at about 10.30 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to one truck (AS-01DC-7292) at Nongtraw, Shillong By-Pass (RB). As a result, the cabin of the truck was completely gutted.

Body recovered

On May 24 at around 7 am, one unidentified male dead body was recovered from coal quarry belonging to one BM Sympli at Saitdkur Deinchynrum (EJH).

Kidnap

One Sudipta Dhar (17 yrs) was reported missing from Pine Mount School since May 19, 2013. It is suspected that she has been kidnapped by one Bikash Dhiraj Rai.

Threat

On April 30, one Phlorinda Basaiawmoit threatened the Syiem of Hima Mylliem with dire consequences.

Arrest

One Ambrose Kharmawphlang (51) of Umpling Umba, a driver of a local taxi (ML 05 D 3598) was detained by the Sadar Police for driving under the influence of liquor. A Non FIR case has been taken against him.
