art workshop

A Kolkata-based art group provided training to students, mostly the underprivileged on how to use any materials to create artwork. Kalaprosaran, a society for art education, based in Kolkata, conducted the workshop for children between 10 to 14 years on May 28-29 at St George Higher Secondary School, Nongmysong, Shiilong, in collaboration with Impulse NGO Network, Shillong. Kalaprosaran believes in art education using waste materials, which could help clean up Shillong’s environment.
