Blessing
The blessing of a newly constructed Church of the Catholic Church at Nonglwai village in West Khasi Hills under Rangblang Parish will be held on June 9. The blessing of the newly built Sacred Heart of Jesus Church will begin with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 10 am in which Bishop of Nongstoiñ Diocese, Rev Victor Lyngdoh will be the main celebrant.
Cleaning drive
As part of the observance of the ‘World Environment Day’, the National Service Scheme, P.G. unit, NEHU will organise a cleaning drive-cum-tree plantation at the University Campus, Mawkynroh-Umshing at Mawlai on June 5. The Programme will commence with the planting of saplings at the University premises at 10.00 am.

Programme
The National Tobacco Control Programme, Meghalaya is organising a programme called ‘Campaign for Tobacco Free NE Meghalaya Launch’ to be held on June 3 at U Soso Tham Auditorium at 11am. The programme will start off with rallies constituting of school students who will then culminate at the said venue for the function.
HANM unit
The HANM northern border zone Ri Bhoi has formed a new unit at 20 mile circle northern Ri Bhoi area from Umling till Byrnihat sales tax gate and has chosen Wet Syngkli as its president, Justing Shynglong as the vice president, Monfeet Syngkli as the general secretary besides others.
