Molestation

Shillong police arrested one Baiakor Rani (19) on Sunday evening on charges of physically misbehaving with a woman (24) resident of Nongrim Hills. According to police, the accused, a resident of Lapalang Myrboh locality molested the woman while she was in Laitumkhrah market.

Raid conducted

lDuring a raid conducted by the police on Saturday at Bara Bazaar, 10500ml was seized from one Plamo Dome of Splendid restaurant, 6060ml from Chodan Lamo of Welcome restaurant, 1780ml from J Kharkrang, 6820ml from Hasklas Jyrwa, 2230ml from Soman Lama of Soman restaurant and 4770ml from Sohandra of Sonam restaurant.

lA raid was conducted by the police at Umkaliar on Saturday and seized 61440 ml illicit IMFL from Umkaliar from the shop of one Dari Lyngdoh and Darihun Malngiang and 156895ml of unclaimed IMFL, a total of 218335 ml of IMFL was seized. The two women have been arrested.

Rape

An FIR was filed on Saturday evening at Sohra PS that one 12 year old girl of Mawshamok village was raped by one Banaiborlang Mawa (30) in his own residence at Mawshamok village since 2nd week of May. He also threatened her with dire consequences. The accused surrendered before the police and was subsequently arrested.
