The NSS Unit of Christian Academy College celebrated the World Environment Day on June 5 which revoled around the theme 'Greener Earth for a healthier you'. Dr Jamino Mawthoh was the chief guest along with the chief engineer, the Rangbah shnong and the entire faculty of the college.

Students take part in a first ever flash mob by NSS volunteers and NOW Ecoclub members of St. Edmund's College as they commemorated the flagship environmental event - the World Environment Day on this year's theme "Think. Eat. Save". The afternoon saw a range of activities for students of the college including an open quiz on environment and environmental issues; slogan writing competition on the theme Think, Eat, Save! The best slogan "Bread for every Breath" bagged the 1stprize.

Participants during a conference on sustainable development of water resources in Meghalaya which was organised here at Yojana Bhawan on Wednesday. The West Garo Hills Meghalaya Basin Development Authority, Tura also celebrated the June 5 and 6 as days designated as Sustainable Development Conclave under the State’s flagship programme Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Programme (IBDLP).
