Film on boat clinics of Brahmaputra

Shillong: The Population Foundation of India and the Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research (C-NES) will be showing a film titled, “Where there are no roads” at the State Library Conference Room on Saturday, 8 June at 6 pm.

The film, directed and produced by noted journalist, author and Film maker Sanjoy Hazarika will feature the boat clinics of the Brahmaputra and how they have transformed the lives of the most marginalised and poorest communities in India.

C-NES has been working in collaboration with the National Rural Health Mission, Assam in tough terrain, rough weather and choppy waters, to bring people from despair to hope.

C-NES invites all interested Shillongites to the screening of the film.
