SHILLONG: The Lok Janshakti Party has sought the intervention of the Controller of Examinations, MBOSE on the problems being faced by class X students hailing from back ward classes on the submission of birth certificates.
In a letter addressed to the MBOSE official, LJP state general secretary RG Pradhan said that in rural areas , the date of birth as recorded in schools during admission based on the statement of parents is accepted for official purpose as many children are not born in hospitals. He urged MBOSE to consider the date of birth as registered with respective schools as proof.
