Complaint

One Uma Shukla lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that M/s Torsa Marketing Ltd., Shillong had collected deposits for investment from general public. However, the Company closed down its office.

Assault

On June 17 at around 8 am, three unidentified persons assaulted one Omega K. Sangma of Pynthorumkhrah while she was on her way to Oakland, Shillong. The miscreants also snatched away one cell-phone from her.

On June 15 at around 4.30 pm, Rontu Barman assaulted one Usha Roy and her son, Mintu Roy at Balat (SWKH). Police arrested the accused.

House ransacked

On June 17, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one Purnima Paul at Mawpun, Shillong and ransacked household items.

Theft

On June 14 night, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti Alto car (AS-01-9312) belonging to Md. Moin Uddin from Rymbai Road (EJH).

One Shushil Jasrasaria of M/s GS Electricals, Mawkhar lodged a complaint that on June 13 morning, coils of industrial cables valued around Rs. 6 lakh, were stolen from his godown at Mawkhar. In this connection, Police arrested two persons Alok Biswa alias Akash (28) and a boy (17 yrs).

Body recovered

On June 14, one unidentified male body was recovered from Upper Shillong Forest Reserve. Necessary formalities have been observed.
