Bond star Pierce Brosnan tried eve

rything to save his daughter Char

lotte, who passed away recently after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.

It is the second time that the actor lost someone dear to cancer as his wife and Charlotte’s mother Cassandra Harris also died from the disease. “Pierce was willing to pick up the phone and call anyone, go anywhere, take her anywhere, do anything for her at anytime. He was desperate,” said Lisa Paulsen, president of the Entertainment Industry Foundation and a longtime Brosnan family friend. “Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl,” Brosnan said after the death of Charlotte, whom he adopted after his marriage to Cassandra. Charlotte is believed to be the fourth generation in her family to get ovarian cancer. “After Cassie passed away, Pierce became a fierce champion and ambassador to all things related to women’s cancer research. I told Pierce, ‘Despite the fact that Charlotte didn’t end up benefiting from long-term new ovarian cancer therapies, so many things that you have done have led to so many discoveries’,” said Paulsen.
