Immigrants apprehended

SHILLONG: Special Patrolling party of Border Security Force deployed in Baghmara in South Garo Hills on Thursday apprehended five Bangladeshi illegal immigrants while they were trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh.

The arrested Bangladeshis have been identified as Aril R Marak (25) Lelin R Sangma (22), Niranjan Hazong (20), Ashish R Marak (30) and Waylit Ch Marak (26), all hailing from Netrakona district of Bangladesh.

During the preliminary interrogation, the apprehended Bangladeshi immigrants revealed that they were going to Baghmara area to work as labourers.
