Threat case

One Tony Thabah, ex-Headman of Umsaw Mawjynrong, Lummawblei lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that in the year 2011, one Arnesson Dkhar along with four of his accomplices took Thabah to Mawiong, where they threatened him with dire consequences and asked to sign the fake land documents in the name of Sivia Nongrum. Out of fear, the complainant signed the fake land documents.

Body recovered

On August 8 at around 7.50 am, one highly decomposed male body was recovered from Umiam (RB). Necessary formalities have been observed and matter is under enquiry.

Arrest

On August 8 circa 5 am, Police arrested two persons, a minor boy (14) and Wanpher Khongkhnian (18), in connection with a burglary case under Sohra PS.

Assault

On August 7 at around 4 pm, three persons, Monderstarwell Dkhar (23), Tlainingstar Dkhar (23) and Deadingsaterwell Syiemlieh (23) assaulted one Debendro Nongspung at Nongstoin (WKH). Police arrested the accused persons.

One Rosa M Kharhunai lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on July 20 circa 6 pm, her brother, John Bennet Kharhunai, indecently abused her, assaulted and also threatened her with dire consequences at Mawlai Nonglum.

Theft

On the night of August 6, unknown miscreants stole tyres from two Maruti cars (ML-05-8629) and (ML-10-7815), which were parked at Jaiaw, Weiking.

On August 5 at about 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone and a wrist watch from the house of one Gaurav Thausem at Rynjah.

On July 31, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-10A-5099) belonging to one Kombay Bandama from Hatimara Killing under Khanapara PS (RB).

Fraud

One Wistilian Sohtun lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on July 31, she made a deal with one Arnesson Dkhar to purchase a plot of land measuring 44,000 sq. ft. at the rate of Rs 48,40,000 and also paid an advance of Rs 6 lakh. Later, the complainant found that the land document was fake.

Violation

On July 31, one Wyrai Sohtun illegally felled seven standing pine trees from a forest belonging to Elaka Jowai at Moopnen (WKH).
