Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has streamlined and finalized speedy implementation of the projects undertaken under Special Plan Assistance (SPA).
A meeting in this regard was convened by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki here recently to review the process and modalities of construction of District Secretariat buildings, mini-secretariat at ADC headquarters, double lane RCC roads in district headquarters and construction of indoor/outdoor stadiums across the state.
It was decided that the upper ceiling and lower ceiling of construction of district secretariats will be Rs 25 crore and Rs 8 to 10 crore respectively, official sources said here on Sunday.
Ideally, the plinth area of each district secretariat shall be 8000–10000 sq m with slight variations from district to district. In case of mini secretariats, the upper ceiling of the project will be around Rs 5 to 10 crore.
The administrative approval of the total estimated cost of the projects should be accorded and the finance department should provide year-wise budgetary support depending upon availability of resources provided to the projects, sources disclosed.
The DPR of the projects wuld have the provision of future expansion, both vertical and horizontal, with essential provisions like fire fighting, external electrification, water harvesting facilities, boundary wall and other service facilities, the meeting resolved.
As far as practicable, the architectural drawings and structural design of all on-going projects and projects in the pipe-line should be uniform.
The concerned chief engineers of PWD should evolve necessary quality control measures while implementing the projects.
Each project will be executed by a designated project officer who will be liable to completion of the project in all respects and he will not be transferred out till completion of the project, the meeting decided. (PTI)
