SHILLONG: Highlighting the lack of parking space for tourist taxis in the city, the Khasi Hills Tourist Taxi Association (KHTTA) on Tuesday urged Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh to find a solution to the problem.

While felicitating Lyngdoh for the victory in the last Assembly election, the Association also submitted a memorandum pertaining to the lack of parking space to the Minister.

Lyngdoh assured that the Government will invite the Association for talks to sort out the various issues including lack of parking space for the tourist taxis.

She also informed that the Labour department is working on the pension scheme for drivers, which was announced by the State Government recently.
