Press Club condemns Mumbai gangrape

SHILLONG: The Shillong Press Club has condemned the barbaric sexual assault of a lady photojournalist in Mumbai on August 22 by a group of criminals.

In a condemnation letter sent to the president of Mumbai Press Club, Shillong Press Club president David Laitphlang expressed his shock and despair over the fact that even journalists are not secure from such gory crimes in this modern day and age.

The SPC expressed its solidarity with the victim and urged the Maharashtra Government to take immediate action in the matter.
