State kickboxers win 4 medals at natl event

 SHILLONG: Four members of the Meghalaya Association of Kickboxing Organisations (MAKO) won four bronze medals in the recently concluded 18th Junior National Kickboxing Championship, in Kolkata from August 22-25.

The four members were Wanrapbok Tariang, who collected a bronze medal in the ring sport full contact under-51kg; Edward Mawthoh in the Tatami (light contact) under-45kg; Aibankhraw Nengnong in low kick under-51kg and Drosila Nongrum in Tatami (light contact) under-40 kg.

Felix Dkhar, who received his 1st degree black belt along with Pynsuklang Sumer, took part as referee/judges and received their diplomas after passing from the seminar conducted by WAKO India on August 22.
