Untitled-3 copyA truck carrying DI pipes meant for the Nongstoin Urban Water Supply Scheme (NUWSS) arrives in Nongstoin on Thursday. Marked by delays, the arrival of five trucks  carrying the DI pipes has given a ray of hope to the water-starved residents of Nongstoin who had pinned their hopes on the scheme, the foundation stone for which was laid in December 2011, to relieve them of their water woes. 65 more trucks are yet to arrive in Nongstoin. The NUWSS is worth a whopping Rs 133.94 crore. (Photo by Ronald Stone Syiem)
