Cheating case

Mitchell B.R Diengdoh lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that four persons Ben John Kennedy, Grace Kushie, Soma Sharma and. Smiran Bedi cheated him of Rupees Seventy thousand.

Arrest

lOn September 4, Police arrested two persons Markor Lamare and Gupta Chettri in connection with theft case under Umiam PS.

lAuxilia L Thabah lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on September 4 at about 12:30 pm, one Banjop Kharhunai (26) was caught red-handed while he was attempting to steal her Maruti car which was parked near St. Anthony’s, Hall, Laitumkhrah. Police arrested the accused.

Theft

lTokyo R. Marak and Niuber N. Sangma lodged a complaint that on September 3 around 7.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole, Round Seal of Secretary, Village Court Baghmara, House Tax Receipt Books, EPIC Card, Pass Book, English Bible, clothes and cash Rs. Rupees Fifty thousand from their vehicle (ML-05E-7576) which was parked near Tojeng Hotel, Tura (WGH).

lOn September 3 circa 3 pm, one unknown miscreant stole cash Rs Five thousand and one laptop computer including other valuables (valued around Rupees Ninety thousand) from the house of Md. Jamal Ali at Laban, Shillong.

lOn September 3, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper (AS-25AC-5298) belonging to Poonam Chettri from Shallang, Sohbar (WKH).

Accident

On September 3, one motorcycle (ML-08C-4879) ridden by Tourism N. Sangma dashed against one truck (ML-08A-1229) at Mukdanggra (WGH). As a result, the pillion rider of the motorcycle, Danley Dianchi R Sangma (18) died on the spot. After the incident, the driver of the truck fled away. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.

Threat case

On September 2 around 5 pm, one Mein Rymbai threatened Shri Da-oopaia Dkhar and his relatives with dire consequences at Khliehtyrshi (WJH).

Molestation

On September 1 around 4 pm, one Govinda Das molested a minor girl (5) in his shop at Laban, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
