Rangdajied announce I-League squad

Team head to Kolkata today

SHILLONG: Rangdajied United FC, the second team from Shillong to qualify for the I-League, announced their 18-member squad for the upcoming I-League.

The top tier of Indian football kicks off on Saturday, but both Shillong teams will be in action only on Sunday.

While Shillong Lajong FC travel to Goa to play Dempo, Rangdajied will face United SC (formerly Prayag United) in Kolkata.

The RUFC contingent will leave Shillong on Thursday, while Lajong left the city on Wednesday.

The captain of Rangdajied is Eugeneson Lyngdoh. Santosh Kashyap is the head coach and the long-serving Khlain Pyrkhat Syiemlieh is assistant coach.

United SC finished fourth last season and should prove a challenging debut I-League match for the Rangdajied boys.

Squad: Eugeneson Lyngdoh (Captain), Surjay Kumar Pariyar, Shambu Mistry, Poibiang Pohshna, Thomas Saikhom, Restomwell Khriam, Ambilstar Sun, Pyn-shongdor Shadap, Lamine Tamba, Munmum Timothy Lugun, Elam Abocha Singh, Lalding-ngheta, Pratik Choudhury, Bansharai Sun, T Lalnunpuia, Joy Mrong Kharraswai, Yohei Isasaki, Edmar Figueira.

Coach – Santosh Kashyap, Assistant Coach – Khlain Pyrkhat Syiemlieh, Manager – Shaiwul Malngiang, Physio – Sandarson Kharbyngar, Assistant Manager – Robistar Kharhunai.
