1st ever sports meet for the differently-abled

NONGPOH: With an aim to impress upon the importance of inclusion spectrum in the society, the Lynti Jam Welfare & Development Association (LJWDA) will organize the first ever two-day sports meet for differently abled people in Ri Bhoi district on October 18 and 19.

The event will be held at the Saiden Indoor Stadium.

Talking to The Shillong Times, LJWDA president Sumarlang Sumer said that the inclusion spectrum is an activity-centered approach to including with disabilities in physical activity and sport.

The LJWDA president informed that the event will have fun and games as the central attraction beside performance by dance troupes.
