Assault

On October 10 at about 9 am, unidentified miscreants numbering three assaulted Head Constable Atma Ram of A/67 CRPF near Morning Star College, Nongthymmai and also looted Rs. 41,000 from him.

Funds misappropriated

RTZ Shira, BDO, Kharkutta, lodged a complaint at Kharkutta OP that on October 7, one Bresfield Sangma, Secretary, Kosak Gandim, VEC, misappropriated Rs. 2,68,000 under MGNREGS.

Trespassing

On October 4, unknown miscreants trespassed into the ginger plantation of one Eliton Pale at Nongjngi village (WJH) and damaged the crop.

Theft

One R Lalnunmawia lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on October 2, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 2,37,500 from his Tata Sumo (MZ-01-4252) while he was filling diesel at Mukhla petrol pump (WJH).

Domestic violence

One Lovely Choudhury lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that her husband tortured her and also demanded dowry of Rs. 60,000 from her.

One Adity Dkhar of Rilbong, Shillong lodged a complaint at Laban PS that her mother, Silda Dkhar tortured her and also threatened her with dire consequences.

Traffic violation

City Traffic Police on Thursday night apprehended one Mai Kharkongor and another person for driving through the wrong way via Raj Bhavan. The police chased the vehicle (Maruti car – ML05 K 9475) till Ward’s Lake and arrested these two persons.
