SHILLONG: The office of the Sub Divisional Officer, Sohra Civil Sub Division, has asked the headmen of Sohra to send a notice to all the cattle rearers not to let their cattle go scot free on the roadways as the same would cause inconvenience to the people of the locality.

Following complaints from the people of the locality, the Sohra Civil Sub Divisional Officer, CVD Diengdoh, said that the headmen of various localities under Sohra have been asked to manage this task failing of which actions will be taken against them.

Moreover, Diengdoh has also asked the Sirdar of Laitduh village, Sohra, to maintain the cleanliness of the Dainthlen Falls owing to the fact that this fall is one of the tourist spots in the State which draws the attentions of tourists from the country and outside.

The letter has been sent following complaints that the Dainthlen Falls is infested with bio and non-bio degradable waste which mars the otherwise scenic spot.
