SHILLONG: The pro-ILP groups have announced fresh night road blockade starting from 7 pm to 5 am on October 29, 30 and 31 to pressurize the Government to implement ILP in the State.

According to GSU president Tengsak Momin, the decision taken by the NGOs was in protest against the adamant stand of the Government.

The State Government, while rejecting the demand of the NGOs to implement ILP, reiterated the need for implementing the Meghalaya Landlords and Tenants Verification Bill.

Despite appeal from several quarters, the Government is yet to call the agitating NGOs for talks.
