Inter-school block level meet concludes at Pynursla

SHILLONG: The inter-School Block-Level Tournament, 2013, was held at Pynursla Block (Phlang Sohshan Ground) from October 28-30. The tournament was organised by the office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills. The events included Handball, Kho Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball.

RESULTS

Handball: In the boys’ section Riwar Seng Khasi Secondary School, Pynursla emerged champion while Seng Khasi Secondary School, Nohwet was the runner up. In the girls’ section Seng Khasi Secondary School, Nohwet while Riwar Secondary School, Ryngtylliang, was the runner up.

Volleyball: Riwar Seng Khasi Secondary School, Pynursla and Seng Khasi Secondary School, Nohwet were the winners and runner up respectively in both the boys’ as well as the girls’ section.

Kho Kho: Nongeitniang UP SSA School and Lyndem Govt. LP School bagged the top two positions respectively, while in the girls’ section Lyndem Govt. LP School and Seng Khasi Secondary School, Nohwet were the winners and runner up respectively.

Kabaddi: Nongeitniang UP SSA School were the winners while Lyndem Govt. LP School were the runner up in the boys’ event while Riwar Seng Khasi Secondary School, Pynursla and Lyndem Govt. LP School bagged the first and second prize in the girls’ section.
