SHILLONG: The submission of two important magisterial inquiry reports will be delayed as the person heading the probe panel is presently busy in maintaining law and order situation in the State.

East Khasi Hills Additional District Magistrate (ADM) DM Wahlang, heading the magisterial probe into circumcision case at NEIGRIHMS, has sought for more time from the Deputy Commissioner to submit his report citing that he is busy in view of the current law and order situation.

Wahlang, who is also probing the Smit witchcraft case, is yet to submit the report though the same is nearing completion.

“The ADM will take some more time to submit two reports as he has been assigned the responsibility of maintaining the law and order situation in the district,” Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said.
