Theft

lChristabel H Lyngdoh, Branch Manager of Meghalaya Rural Bank, Golf Link lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on November 6, unknown miscreants stole HP scanner and other items from the Bank.

lG.N Sharma, Dy. Commandant (Administration) of the Special Bureau lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on November 5, unknown miscreants stole one UPS valued around Rs. 2,225 from the office of the Special Bureau at Springside, Nongthymmai.

lOne Mahesh Singh lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 4 at about 6.30 pm, three unidentified persons pretended to be customers, went to his electronic shop at Iawmusiang, Jowai (WJH), snatched two cell phones and fled away.

Assault

lOn November 5 at around 9:30 pm, one Krishna Bahadur Kissan assaulted Suresh Murah (21) at Jhalupara, Shillong.

lOn November 4 at around 11:30 pm, one Md. Basu Ali, Md. Raju Ali along with one unidentified accomplice went to the labour camp of one Tonki Sharma at 9th Mile, Cattle market (RB) and assaulted his labourer. When Tonki Sharma intervened, they threatened him with dire consequences. Police arrested Md. Basu Ali.

lB.R. Kharmujai, the Rangbah Shnong of Mawlai Mawdatbaki lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on November 6, one Pahara Tariang assaulted his wife and his mother-in-law and also attempted to commit suicide, by consuming dettol at Mawlai Mawdatbaki.

Threat case

lOne Mailin Kyndait lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 4 at about 2 pm, her son, Pidon Kyndait (32) threatened her and her family members with dire consequences, at Mihmyntdu, Jowai (WJH).

lOne Hai Bareh lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 1 at about 8 pm, he received one anonymous telephone call, in which the caller threatened him.

Body recovered

On November 4 evening, the body of a newly born baby girl was recovered from Law-Ap, Nongstoin (WKH). Necessary formalities have been observed.

Raid conducted

On November 2, Garobadha Police along with magistrate Pearla T.D Sangma raided the stone quarry which was illegally operating at Wachitata (WGH), in violation of Sec. 144 CrPC and seized one Stone Crusher machine and two trucks (AS-01D-8685) and (ML-09-7616).

Cheating case

One Loo Dkhar lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that one Jopbha Niang cheated him of Rs. 15 lakh in a land deal at Nongjngi village (WJH).

Kidnapping case

One Rinku Modak lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on November 6 at about 6:30 am, one Bikash kidnapped her daughter, Pooja Modak (16) from Nongrimmaw, Laitumkhrah.
