Imphal: A 14-hour general strike to protest killing of a man affected life here on Thursday.

The strike began at 0400 hours and normal life was partially disturbed. Most of the educational institutes at Singjamei, Lilong were closed down as strike supporters blocked roads.

The road leading to Manipur University was also blocked hence attendance was thin at the University. Hawaijam Meghachandra (50), of Lilong Chajing Meirangkhong Leikai was found at Imphal river on November 5 last.
