Christian Campaign releases gospel album

SHILLONG: The Christmas Campaign has released their first gospel music album to commemorate their 15th anniversary.

The album which comprises of 15 gospel songs both videos and audios was released by prominent city businessman Honsen Lyngdoh in the presence of Aroha Choir mentor Pauline Warjri and Forest and Environment Minister Prestone Tynsong at a function held at KJP Higher Secondary School on Saturday.

Giving an insight into the history of this organisation, Christian Campaign general secretary K Phawa said that they formed this organisation in 1997 with the objective to spread the message of Christmas to people who are yet to accept Christianity.

“The organisation has been taking up projects to contribute for the betterment of the society despite not having the necessary funds. We have managed to continue with our endeavor due to love and support of many people,” Phawa said.

He informed that they took a loan for the project of bringing out the album.

“We have spent around Rs 5 lakh to produce this album,” he said while adding that the selling price of this album is Rs 250.
