SHILLONG: The 5th Meghalaya Open Taekwondo Championship got underway on Saturday at the JN Indoor Stadium, Polo, organised by the Meghalaya Moonlight Taekwondo Academy.
Over 100 participants from all over the state are involved in the two-day event, representing different clubs and associations.
Among those taking part is senior citizen Samson Killing, who was referred to in the speech given by chief guest Sanjay Goyal, East Khasi Hills DC.
