SHILLONG: Countering the claims of CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing, one of the land owners form Umsawli, Gracibon Kharsohtun on Thursday said that her land measuring 5.25 hectares was sold to the Urban Affairs Department with her knowledge.

“I am surprised that my name was mentioned in the news report and that the said land was sold without my knowledge,” Kharsohtun said in a clarification issued here.

Earlier, the CSWO president had claimed that the government had forged documents to acquire Kharsohtun’s land which was allegedly sold off to the Urban Affairs Dept without her knowledge.
