School visit
As part of their Tour Programme, the Parliamentary Standing Committee will be visiting BK Bajoria School, Shillong on Nov 22 at 10:15 a.m. to interact with the officials, teachers and students.
Concert
North Eastern Service, AIR, Shillong will broadcast a live concert on the occasion of Quami Ekta or National Integration Week which is observed from Nov 19 to 25 every year. The concert will be held at U Soso Tham Auditorium on Nov 21 from 4.25 pm to 6.25 pm. Artistes from all the eight states of the region will perform on the occasion. Other capital AIR stations will also relay the concert.
Dorbar Kur
The Seng Kur Dkhar Sawkpoh will hold its 15th Dorbar on Dec 12 at Asom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti. All students of the Kur (clan) who have attained positions in the Board examinations may submit their bio-data with certificates to the assistant secretary at Laban (near Red Cross Hospital) on or before Nov 30.
Relief
The DC, East Khasi Hills has released payment of gratuitous relief to those affected victims which occurred during 2012-2013 under Mawsynram, Mawphlang, Pynursla and Mawkynrew C&RD Blocks.
