Queen of Pop Madonna has topped the list of highest paid musicians of 2013 by raking in USD 125 million from June 2012 to May 2013 from her MDNA tour and fashion line.
According to Forbes magazine, the 55 year-old singer, who has beaten pop stars like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber to be named the highest paid musician, reportedly grossed USD 305 million from the success of her latest tour.
Gaga has landed the second position with USD 80 million. Running closely behind the New York-born pop star with USD 79 million is Bon Jovi.
Like Madonna, GaGa and Jovi’s earnings were mostly made from going on tours. Toby Keith, who has bagged the fourth spot with USD 65 million, owes his wealth not only to music but also to his 18 restaurants.
English band, Coldplay, finished the top 5 with USD 64 million. Rounding off the rest of the top ten were Justin Bieber (USD 58 million), Taylor Swift (USD 55 million), Elton John (USD 54 million) and Beyonce and Kenny Chesney (tied with USD 53 million. (PTI)
