Arson

George Timung, Secretary of Umsaw Nongkharai village (RB) lodged a complaint that on November 20 around 10.30 pm, two persons-a boy (17) and Robert Nongrum (21) set on fire the house of one Donboklang Iawphniaw. As a result, the house was partially damaged and household items were burnt. Police arrested both the accused.

Theft

Monalisa Palit lodged a complaint that on November 20 at around 7.40 am, unknown miscreants broke into her house and stole one laptop computer valued around 46,000 a mobile phone worth Rs. 5,000 and one LPG cylinder.

lOn November 16 at around 12 noon, the dumper truck (ML-04B-4191) of Md. Mazurul Islam was stolen away by unknown miscreants from Mynkre (EJH).

lKynsaibor War lodged a complaint that on November 11 Rahul Thapa, Vicky Dey and Jintu Das stole drilling materials from Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank construction site, Police Bazar.

Fraud

One Irelyne Rumnong lodged a complaint that on November 16, she received a phone call from her friend residing in United Kingdom informing that he had sent some parcels for her. On November 18, another phone call informed her to deposit Rs. 24,500 in the SBI A/c of Toli Sumi of Dimapur. Accordingly she deposited the amount but subsequently found that she has been cheated.

Threat Case

Nancy Zarzohlu (Sr. Branch Manager, Bank of Baroda Jowai) lodged a complaint that her husband, Paul Moses physically abused and threatened her with dire consequences and forced her to avail loans amounting to Rs. 7 lakh from different banks. Subsequently, after staying separately from her, he along with his other family members continued to threaten her with dire consequences. They also leveled false accusations against her brother namely, Samuel Keivon.
