SHILLONG: Former KSU leader Anthony Kharbuli was on Friday granted bail by the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM).
Confirming the news, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said police have already filed the chargesheet against Kharbuli.
Kharbuli (48) was arrested from Spring Side near Malki on November 19 for instigating the crowd during a recent meeting called by CSWO.
It may be mentioned that six police personnel including five women cops were injured when members of the Khasi Women Welfare and Development Association (KWWDA) and the CSWO pelted stones on the on-duty police personnel during the procession at Motphran.
