SHILLONG: The North Garo Hills District Taekwondo Association celebrated its first anniversary on December 18 at its headquarters at Dainadubi Community Hall, Lower Nogolpara.
During an event to mark the anniversary, poomsae, sparring (kyorugi) and the breaking of tiles was demonstrated in the presence of chief guest CW Momin, Kharkutta MLA, and headman of Nongalpara, it was announced through a press release on Saturday.
The efforts of the district coach, Balentine Lyngdoh, was noted in the speech by the chief guest.
