New Delhi: The BCCI has called an Emergent Working Committee meeting for Saturday in Chennai to discuss the possible implications of banned former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi’s re-entry into Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).
All the affiliated units of BCCI have received a circular in this regard and are gearing up for the decisions that will be taken by BCCI president N Srinivasan at the meeting.
“We have received a circular stating that there is an Emergent Working Committee meeting in Chennai on December 28. The agenda is to discuss about Lalit Modi,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on Tuesday.
Modi, who got permission from the Supreme Court to fight elections, is likely to get back his RCA president’s post back.
However, some stern decisions are on the cards on that day as the BCCI might just move to alienate the state association if Modi continues to be at the helm of affairs. (PTI)
