SHILLONG: Keating Road CC defeated Madanriting SCC by a massive margin of 176 runs in a league match of the SCA First Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo on Friday.
Keating Road rode on Ganesh Sahni’s maiden ton to post a 270 runs on the board in 32.4 overs after they were asked to bat by Madanriting SCC. Sahni scored 100 of just 77 balls taking advantage of the good batting conditions. Rohit Rai’s half century (52 of 47 balls) added to Keating Road’s advantage. In reply, Madanriting were bundled out for a paltry 94 runs in 26.2 overs. Sahni and Rai bagged three wickets apiece to make it an all round performance. Nongthymmai SCC will take on Royal CC in the next match.
