Minor raped
On January 6, at around 3 pm unidentified miscreants raped one minor girl (11 yrs) in her residence at Ummylla, Mawngap East Khasi Hills.
Threat
On January 6 at around 9 am, one Monbih Phawa (22) threatened to kill Bili Phawa at Riatsaliya Mihmyntdu (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
Body found
On January 5, around midnight, the body of one Wilcomson Kharbani (17) was found hanging from a tree in a jungle at Mawliwai, Umdum (WKH).
Theft cases
- On January 5 at around 5.30 pm, Pok Lyngdoh Mawphlang snatched one cell-phone from one Teibor Shabong at Umkaliar, Shillong.
- On the night of January 5, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08-D-1394) belonging to one Panseng Sangma from Mondoltilla, Tura West Garo Hills.
- On the night of January 1, unknown miscreants stole away the solar light valued Rs. 5,700 from the residence of Wanlang Rymbai in Myntdu Shahtngit Iawmusiang in West Jaintia Hills.
- On the night of January 1, unknown miscreants entered into the grocery shop of Rajiv Kumar at Bara Bazar, Shillong and stole grocery items valued around Rs. 2,10,526.
Arrest
On January 2, at around 7.30 pm, Daphah Samati, Sakini Papiah, Hame Shadap, Paia Samati and Tony Papiah armed with dao, knife, went to the house of one woman identified as Rosaphina Samati at Nongjngi village in West Jaintia Hills and threatened to kill her and her family members. Police arrested all the five accused.
Assault
On December 28 night, Dansing Warjri assaulted a woman Mayalang Suting (29) and others identified as Wailad Suting (22) and Assumilation Timung (26) at Mawlyndep in East Khasi Hills. Police arrested the accused.
