Itanagar: The People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) on Tuesday demanded that the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) be lifted from the districts of Tirap, Changlang and Longding. “The AFSPA law is a legacy of the colonial era and its continuation is proof of a failed state and a helpless government,” party’s chief ministerial candidate Laeta Umbrey said in a press release.
