SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has invited applications for the party ticket for ensuing elections to the three Autonomous District Councils.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, MPCC general secretary in charge publicity and media, Manbor S Warjri informed that the party would start issuing application forms from January 8.
The ticket aspirants for KHADC and JHADC are to collect their application forms from the MPCC office in Shillong while for the GHADC the forms are to be collected from the MPCC cell at Tura.
Warjri informed that January 14 would be the last date for submission of forms to the concerned Block Congress Committees.
The last date for forwarding the application forms from the BCCs to the District Congress Committees (DCCs) is on January 17. The last date for the DCCs to submit the application forms to the respective District Council Election Committees (DCECs) is Jan 19.
The DCECs have been asked to submit the applications within January 21.
