HSPDP declares names of 14 candidates

SHILLONG: The HSPDP Central Election Committee on Friday announced the names of fourteen candidates for both the KHADC and the JHADC for the district council elections scheduled on February 24.
The candidates whose names were announced include – party legislator Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit from Nongkrem, sitting MDCs Grace Mary Kharpuri from Nongshken and Teilinia Thangkhiew from Mylliem, Pyniaid S Syiem from Sohryngkham, Samson Suting from Lyngkyrdem, Badhok Nongmalieh from Nongpoh, Pyborlang L Ryntathiang from Mawlai, Pynwanbor Sylliang from Umroi, Banri Kupar Wahlang from Laban-Mawprem and Nosi Lyngdoh from Jirang.
Meanwhile, the has announced the names of J Marbood Kyndiah from Ummulong, Lakhon Paulus Sungoh from Shilliang-Myntong, Headerson Symbai from Nartiang and Bres Dkhar from Khliehriat, who would be contesting for entry into the JHADC.
In a statement issued here on Friday, HSPDP spokesperson Goldenstar Nonglong informed that the party will declare the second and final list on January 23 for the remaining constituencies of the KHADC and JHADC.
