Fraud
Zeinaub F Swer lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on January 22 around 2 pm, she lost her ATM Card at Lachumiere, Shillong. On January 24 around 8.30 am, an amount of Rs. 40,000 was withdrawn from ATM at Military Hospital, Shillong by using her lost ATM.
Theft
lOn January 22 around 8 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05G-8340) belonging to B Kharkongor from his residence at Jylli Shop, Nongthymmai, Shillong.
lOn January 21 morning, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Kyrshanlang Lamare at Ummulong village (WJH) and stole iron rod and other items valued around Rs. 3,000.
lOn January 24 around 1:20 am, unknown miscreants armed with knife and pistol in a Maruti car without number, forcibly entered the BSC-C&C-(JV) Camp at Mawrusyar (WKH) and took away mobile hand set and money from the Company workers.
Assault
lProster Tangliang lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 21 around 11 am, Wis Manner, Wolbing Paslein, Loi Shadap and their accomplices, assaulted his labourers Malti Chyrmang, Sakani Chyrmang and. Rijoy Paslein and also set fire to the labourers camps at Khadser Coal Quarry (EJH).
lChirika M Sangma (34) of Daram lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS that on January 22 around 4:30 pm, one Tueng Marak assaulted and threatened her at Mendipathar Bazar (NGH).
Rape
On January 19 at about 5:20 pm, one Bankerlang Matlang (33) raped one lady (60) at Pynthor village under Umiam PS (RB). Police arrested the accused.
Cheating case
Debbie R. Marak lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on August 1, 2013 one Rohit Roy hired her JCB. However, failed to pay the rent and also did not return the JCB till date.
Arson
On January 23 night, unknown miscreants set fire to five coal labour camps of Jamris Rymbai at Briwar (EJH).
Death
Bodora Ryntathiang (42) of Wahrit village (WKH) lodged a complaint that on January 23 around 7:30 pm, her husband Phlishon Nongrum (63) was found lying with injuries on the Mawkyrdeng-Wahrit Road (WKH). He was shifted to CHC Mairang and was referred to CH Shillong where he succumbed to his injuries.
Threat case
On January 20, Kiton Samati found out that sand has been dug from his land at Madan Sapiangrah, Nongjngi (WJH) by three persons namely Moina Phyllut, Dan Law and Ker Pale. When he objected they threatened him with dire consequences.
