Langsning beat Wahingdoh in Super Div

SHILLONG: Despite putting up a pretty formidable total of 173/6 in 35 overs, Wahingdoh SC were beaten by Langsning SC by five wickets and with eight balls to spare in a Group B match of the SCA First Division at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Monday.
Wahingdoh’s Johny J Lyngdoh top-scored with a patient 42 runs from 82 balls, while Wallam Marngari took 2/27 in five overs.
In the chase, Javed Jyrwa’s 46 from 52 balls propelled Langsning home. Jyrwa’s innings included four fours, while Anthony Lyngdoh bagged 2/26 in seven overs.
Keating Road CC lead Group B with 12 points while Lumdiengjri SCC have 10 points in Group A.
On Tuesday, United XI will play Malki CC at 9:00am in the Super Division.
