Five GNLA in police net

NONGSTOIN: In a crackdown against ongoing extortion by GNLA cadres, police on Wednesday arrested five cadres of the Garo Hills-based at Doranggre village in West Khasi Hills District with arms and ammunition.
On receiving inputs about the movement of GNLA cadres in a pick-up van, the search operation team jumped into action and successfully nabbed five persons. The five persons belonging to the GNLA were intercepted at Dorangre area while they were travelling in a Bolero camper (ML-06 -6451).
Police seized two pistols with magazines and 7 live ammunition, 3 mobile sets with 3 SIM cards, 21 dry cell from their possession.
The five cadres are identified as Lasting G Momin, Arnesh G Momin, Bosco Momin (27), Feddrick Rongrin (22), driver of Bolero Camper, of Dorangre and Jaro S Sangma (25) of Nengchigre West Khasi Hills. The pistols were recovered from Lasting G Momin and Arnesh G Momin.
