Attempt to murder

Bari Dey of Polo Bazar, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 29, her husband Babul Dey attempted to murder her and her daughter Sonale Dey.

Body recovered

On January 29, one highly decomposed unidentified male body was recovered from a jungle at Umtyrnga village (RB). Necessary formalities were observed, matter is under enquiry.

Theft

  • Never Lamurong lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 28 evening, his employee Kapil Chandra Dey (26) fled away along with cash amounting to Rs. 7 lakhs.
  • Stepphyrnai Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Umsning OP that on January 27 around 7 am Knight Lyngdoh (30) stole wooden logs from her garden at Umsning (RB), damaged the water-pipes and threatened her with dire consequences. Matter is under enquiry.

Arson

Benjamin V. Lyngdoh, Area Manager, MeECL lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 26, unknown miscreants vandalized the Pump House at Chandmari, Golf Link, Shillong. Loss of property is estimated around Rs. 30,000.
