The event titled ‘Odyssey–an Art Exhibition and Auctioning’, organised by Trend MMS, would showcase the best works of leading artistes of the North East and a part of the proceeds of the painting sales would be donated to Deepshikha Cancer Care Foundation, a leading NGO serving cancer patients of North East.
The artistes whose works would be on display include Nilpawan Barua, Noni Borpuzari and Kishore Das of Assam, S Benedict of Meghalaya, Buddhi Thapa of Nagaland, Guninder Singh of Manipur and others, Trends MMS spokesman Shyamkanu Mahanta said.
Mahanta claimed it was for the first time that a charity dinner and auction was being organised in the state and hoped the initiative would help in the promotion of art and culture along with helping the cause of cancer. (PTI)
