Body recovered
On February 5, the body of Rebren Syngkli (38) was recovered from a paddy field at Umkensier village under Patharkhmah OP (RB). Cadaver sent to CH Nongpoh for PM.
Found unconscious
On February 5 at about 11 am, one unidentified female (27) approx. was found lying unconscious at Mawlonghat Bus stand, Shillong. She was shifted to CH Shillong.
Absconding
On February 4 evening, J Ravi Kiran, Manager of Intel Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Dhankheti, Shillong handed over Rs. 5 lakhs to one Vikash, driver of hired Tata Indigo vehicle (ML-05G-5406) before entering Hotel Centre Point, Shillong. Later, the driver absconded along with the cash.
Theft
lOn February 3 midnight, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-09-9460) belonging to Vinaya P. Marak from his residence at Gasuapara (SGH).
lOn February 3 at about 6:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper (ML-09A-5440) belonging to Dillarson D. Shira from Tura (WGH).
lSantu Wahlang, Manager of Roilang Wine Store lodged a complaint at Ranikor PS that on February 3 morning, unknown miscreants broke into the Wine Store at Ranikor (SWKH) and stole cash Rs. 1,75,000.
lPhuhnes Mukhim lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that one Dame Syngkon stole two sacks of betel-nut valued around Rs. 42,000 on two occasions (Dec. 26, 2013) and (February 3) from Ladthalaboh, Jowai (WJH).
Assault
Kamala Verma of Pegasus Crown Hotel, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on February 1 at about 3:05 pm, her husband Kailash Verma assaulted her at the Hotel and also damaged her cell phone.
